BEST SELLER: Human Nature's Salon Care Shampoo and Conditioner

I am an official dealer of Human Heart Nature products. I posted my blog a few weeks ago talking about how I got into this business. It is just like your typical direct selling thing - where you can get the products only from the authorized branch (of course with discount, so you can sell it at a profit).

But one thing good about it this I am a fan too. I already used almost all their products (except of course, those for men products) and I find them very good. Most of their products involve nourishing the skin - Facial wash, Toner, Make-ups, Lotion, Body Wash, Soaps, and Shampoos.

But the best seller of all, (drum roll please.....) is the Salon Care Shampoo and Conditioner.

Human Heart Nature Product Dealer... and Certified User

Ever since, it is my advocacy to patronize Pinoy products. I love to think that by buying our own, I am able to help Filipino workers. However, I would admit guys - it is inevitable to buy imported stuff.

Why? Simply because of its good quality.

There are many factors why Pinoy products do not maintain its high standard rating - one is the increasing labor costs, another is the growing production equipment and maintenance costs. It can also be the innovating technology that we cannot keep up with and so on. Tendency is, we were directed to choose items with low costs, sacrificing the quality of our products, just because our budget limit us to that. I'm no economist (please feel free to enlighten me) but hey, those factors are very obvious.

Human Heart Nature
But to look more deep in the market, there are other Philippine products worth recommending for. And now, I discover Human Nature.

April 15 - End of Doom's Day for Accountants

Wondering why I don't have a blog post this March and April? Simply because I am an accountant.

An accountant that endeavored to finish the income tax computation and preparation of the financial statements.

An accountant who well, not really sacrificed, but spent mostly of my time digging on the debit credit, income and expense, asset and liabilities and equity and so on.

An accountant who most of the time, awake, rather than sleeping, just to beat the deadline.

An accountant, who was tested a lot of times, but still chose to do the same thing over and over again.

REMAKE: DIY CORNER BOOKMARKS by Tally's Treasury

Heya!

It's fun to do something on your own. To create a useful thing out of useless materials is really really awesome. Here are my realization about creating a bookmark from scratch.

Pros:
1. It's a corner bookmark. Hence, it wouldn't create a space in the spine of your book, specially if you were not able to remove it for days.
2. Very light weight. It will not dent your beloved pages.
3. You can create different facial expression of bookmarks. Create and Make!

Cons
1. It is made of paper. Not water proof. (unless it is okay for your book to get wet)

This is where I got the pattern for the corner bookmark. (http://tallystreasury.com/2011/02/corner-page-bookmarks-3/). Tally Treasury is a jam-packed blogsite for all the DIY craft tutorials you need. Thank you for the inspiration!

Commute to Taguig Post Office

I was about to get my UMID card from SSS through the Taguig Post Office. They said that they already delivered the card to my home address three times, but I wasn't there for some obvious reason that I am working.

I called their contact number 478-9469 and informed me that the best way is to personally get it from them. (They wouldn't allow somebody else to receive it). The instructions are as follows:

PASTA ADDICTION 101

Yes, I am all over the internet (once again) to find the best recipe in town. Whenever I crave to eat something, and I don't have the luxury to go to a resto to buy that food, my mere resort is to look for a recipe on the web. I specifically look for a Pinoy recipe since western food requires some ingredients that are not available here. Some of the recipes abroad have wine and condiments that are too alien to me. (Oh, please! I'm an accountant, not a chef.)

So here goes. I always search YUMMY and Panlasang Pinoy Recipes website because they usually have the simple but super delicious recipes which do not require complicated ingredients - most or almost all of them can be found in supermarket or in your local market nearby.

Now, I am craving for Spaghetti Aglio Olio. Big time.

One of the best Spaghetti Aglio Olio I've tasted is from Yellow Cab. I also love that Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs of Pizza Hut and Carbonara of Papa John's. I'm experimenting for different pastas everytime I go to pizza parlors or local restaurants.

Anyway, here is the Aglio E Olio Pasta Recipe from Panlasang Pinoy Recipes! This is very recommendable. I love how simple the recipes are. PASTA IS AWESOME!

Will try this tonight and let's see how it goes.

Bon Appétit!!!

CPA BOARD EXAM NEW SYLLABI 2015

The Board of Accountancy (BOA) recently issued the revised syllabus for the Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination or simply CPA Board Exam that will be happening on May 2016.

The old seven-subject-exam will be reduced to six composed of the following:
1. Taxation
2. Regulatory Framework for Business Transactions
3. Financial Accounting and Reporting
4. Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting
5. Management Advisory Services
6. Auditing

Whether the old subjects split or merge, there is an absolute evidence that even the education and the licensing exam is moving parallel with the advancing economy of the country. I wish all of the Board exam takers a very good luck and may you also contribute to the betterment of the Philippines.

For the copy of the syllabus and the complete post of BOA, please click here.

BIR's EFPS - Advantage or not?

The world is revolving through business integration and paperless communication. Well, Philippines is trying very hard to keep up with the fast-phased technology around the globe. But how are we doing so far?

Let us start with the Government's mission to enhance their tax system.

Believe me, I am typing in this very moment while waiting for the Bureau of Internal Revenue Electronic Filing and Payment System or the most renowned EFPS to load.

Yes, it is a shame to see co-taxpayers struggle with the electronic technology of the tax office since they cannot see any improvements from the last three years.

The most horror story we ever get from this: GATEWAY TIME-OUT.

Hoping for a favorable action from the government before April 15 hits. This resentment of mine isn't a personal point of view. It's OUR point of view. Our mission to comply doesn't seem to align with your so-called innovative enhancement in the tax system.

Eat Pizza, Be Healthy.

weekender-logoIn Nickky Faustine P. de Guzman's write-up in Business World Weekender,  it says that drinking wine and eating pizza can be healthy. Who will say no to pizza? That oozing melted cheese with meat overload on top of freshly-baked dough!

Here is the post.

REJOICE, lazy bones! While this might actually be too good to be true, it seems that science says you can be healthy while eating pasta and pizza. And while you’re at it, you can drink wine and burn the fat gained during the holiday binge. It seems that the perennial New Year resolution “I want to get fit” might finally come true, yes? At least according to viral posts going around on the Web. But before ordering a box of pizza or a bottle of alcohol, there is some fine print to be read under the good news. READ MORE>>

How Safe is Your Drinking Water?

Home
I don't care if this website is just promoting its brand and products,  but this specific post from PureIt (THINGS TO CHECK ON YOUR REFILLED WATER BOTTLE) is a must-read. Yes, you know your water is safe, but is your container?

Water refilling stations are becoming a common fixture in almost every community, especially in the metro. About 60% of households in the Philippines get their water from these refilling stations, according to surveys.

If we look at it based on each refilling station’s purification process, their water is safe enough. Reverse osmosis, distillation, activated carbon filters, ozone generators, and other technical terms give us the re-assurance that the water is safe.

But no matter how advanced the technology is, we can never be sure of water safety. READ MORE...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

What?! It's 2016 already? Do I have any entry for December? Writing a blog post probably slipped out of my mind due to the holiday season. Wuhoo!

Okay. Let's do some updating.

First, I got a new work. My tenure with my ex-employer lasted until Dec. 22. And today is my 2nd day with my new work. I have a lot of vacant days for the holidays and well, I spent it wisely. I have my own time with my daughter and she is lovely as usual.

Second, I have a new year's resolution! I will abide my husband in every possible way! I am usually hard-headed and egoistic. There are many decision-makings this past year that, well, I prevail. But most of them are not working or inefficient, or you can say, epic fail. So this time, I told my husband, that in every decision I have to make, I will ask his opinion and will take it to consideration -  all the effin' time!!! He told me women are emotional, and men are making decisions based on logic. Proven and tested, logical way is indeed better that emotional way, believe me!

Third, I spend my first Christmas in Laguna! Yey! That's my husband's province. We ate a lot of food! As in a lot! And we gave Athena her present - a new hard-bound book! She loves to flip it. I don't know if she was able to appreciate the book itself (it's about Aesop's fables). But hey, she likes seeing the hare, peacock, tortoise, the horse, and the mouse. Very colorful!

Fourth, we had our Christmas party in Bulacan with my Clan. It was awesome! They loved my games - Kantaririt and the one with the paper plates and you'll draw on it while it is in your head. Anyway, I've also gave my godchildren some Human Nature Products for kids and babies. I'm sure they will love the chocolate and gummy berry scent of kiddie soaps and the powder scent of baby wash! :) (Contact me for orders. Thanks!)

Sorry I don't have any pictures to post. I'm kinda tinatamad. But I got them all in my phone. So, yeah, pag sinipag, I'll post them. Or, pag sinipag pa more, I'm gonna make a photo album/ photobook out of it!

I guess that's all of it! I just want to say Happy New Year! More money, great career and more travel to you all!!!

But the best of all, I wish you peace of mind, contentment, humility, and more love coming from your family as you rock this 2016!!!!

#GOODBYE2015
